Ruth Roman, born in Lynn Massachusetts to Lithuanian-Jewish Mary Pauline Gold and Abraham Roman Abraham Roman, was the 3rd daughter of their family. Her father was a carnival barker, died at the age of a tiny little girl. This forced her mother to provide for her family through work as a waitress and cleaning woman. Ruth grew in a poor Boston tenement community in Massachusetts. She was a student in Boston. She quit the institution she was in just two years later in order to pursue acting as a profession. It was a difficult path to pursue. Even though she got a job at a theatre in New York posing as a still for a mystery magazine, no theatre jobs were offered to her. Then, after a stint as a club hat girl after which she decided to come back to her home in Massachusetts and leave her position. In Boston, in which she was employed during the evening as an actor for the New England Repertory Company and during the day as an usherette. She has also completed her studies at Bishop-Lee Theatre School, where she studied drama.
